Note: The DirecTV receivers are no longer “owned” by customers. Although the satellite receiver is purchased, it is considered “leased” equipment. This applies to all receivers whether they are purchased through Raymarine, Circuit City, Best Buy, or any other DirecTV retailer. When a customer signs up for DirecTV programming, there are commitments the customer agrees to with DirecTV. If the consumer ceases to be a DirecTV customer for any reason, he/she must make arrangements to return the leased receivers within 7 days and deliver the equipment to DirecTV within 30 days to avoid any charges. Raymarine has no affiliation with DirecTV at this time and therefore is not associated with any programming commitments or equipment lease agreements between the customer and DirecTV. Once the receiver is purchased through Raymarine and activated through DirecTV, the agreements are made between the end user and DirecTV.
